SOON ENOUGH, WE'LL ALSO BE THERE

How quickly the years had passed. Was it the excitement of youth that made us who we were? Or was it our expectations, hopes, anxieties and fears? How many times had we missed life with career, marriage and children. Was it because of all these worries that we carried?

Figen had been running through life without resting. She moved as if she were being chased, always in a hurry to escape or arrive somewhere. She and her life partner were in a never-ending hurry.

Now, unexpectedly, life said “Stop!”. She was hit by a loss so deep, it almost broke her — body and spirit — and she never saw it coming. There were many people around her trying to console, but she was stuck in one spot in her mind.

She realized how meaningless the things she cared about were. The tears in her eyes were flowing like a fountain beyond her control. The pain of not being able to turn back time filled her. The questions that came to her mind and the answers she gave to them, the “ifs” and “if onlys”... The memories she had accumulated, the kind words spoken and every moment spent together. That moment was her only solace.

Her life partner of thirty-three years had suddenly passed away. As the saying goes, “Once upon a time, once upon a time”, how true it was. The world was not a place for ambition. Everything gained was eventually left behind. She wanted to carve it into her mind: 'I must not forget this. I must not forget!

It was the true meaning of life she didn’t want to forget.
She could no longer afford to be distracted by baseless worries or fleeting gains. One by one, she remembered the dreams she had postponed.
aWere they really worth postponing?

Time had run its course, and on a stage where return was impossible, she had no choice but to find solace in what remained.
Every kind word spoken, every shared moment — these were her only consolation.
She was grateful for every moment she hadn’t caused pain.
She had come to understand, in the deepest parts of her being, how temporary this world really was.

She had found the peace and happiness she was searching for within the life she had shared with her husband.
With every challenge they faced together, their bond had grown even stronger.
Now, she could look at their relationship through entirely new eyes.

There was no place for the question, “How will I go on without him?”
She gave space to the sorrow of his absence, not the fear of it.
Everything from this point on had to be as he would have wanted it.
She was determined to bid him farewell as if he were still alive — as if he could see it all.

Experiential Design Teaching says:
"In this life, everything — absolutely everything — is temporary."
Neither joy is eternal, nor sorrow.
So why do we try to leave a permanent mark in a world where we ourselves are so fleeting?

What a great illusion it is to be human.
With the best of intentions, we often find ourselves lost in dead-end roads.
Wanting simply to “start working and earn a living,” we may unknowingly turn our goals into obsessions.
Or wishing to “get married and be happy,” we might end up sacrificing far more than we should.

Being loved becomes so important that we lose sight of balance and go to extremes.
Saying, “I suffered so my child won’t have to,” we may even destroy our own authority.

In short, with good intentions but misguided actions, we disrupt the balance of our relationships.
And in the end; it is we, ourselves, who design the stories we are destined to live through.

So, who are the ones that truly reach their purpose in this life?
Those who can pair their good intentions with right actions.
But of course, this requires clarity of consciousness.
And to reach that clarity, one must first learn to manage their emotions and desires.

A person can remember their true purpose in life only as much as they are able to control their desires.
And someone who doesn’t forget their purpose doesn’t obsess over outcomes.
For them, simply being present in the process is valuable enough.
Even in the hardest trials, their strength lies in being able to say,
“I did my best — whatever happened must hold some wisdom.”

These are the people who, even after losing their closest loved ones, never forget that everything is part of the test.
Figen was one of those people.
She bid farewell to her life partner with the thought: “Soon enough, we too will be there.”
She was sorrowful, her heart heavy with grief.

Now she was alone — but she knew, deep down, that she was never truly on her own.

To know the answer ask that "one" person!"
